Teresa Sheppard has been performing as a harpist in the Atlanta area for the past 6 years. She enjoys pursuing many genres of music, but her first love is music from the Celtic Isles. She was awarded the Scottish Harp Society of America’s National Championship in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Teresa traveled to Scotland and Ireland, having the opportunity to study with renowned Scottish and Irish harp players, including Ailie Robertson, Corrina Hewat, Cheyenne Brown, Rachel Hair and Janet Harbison.  Teresa has performed as part of the Celtic duo Sonas Ort, as well as with the Atlanta Junior Ceili Band, at events such as Atlanta Celtic Christmas and  IrishFest Atlanta. She loves making music with others and she is a frequent participant in many Celtic sessions in the Atlanta area. Teresa currently studies harp with Elisabeth Remy Johnson and is pursuing a Music Education degree at Kennesaw State, performing regularly with the KSU orchestra and wind ensemble throughout the school year.
