Teresa Sheppard has been performing as a harpist in the Atlanta area for the past 14 years. She enjoys pursuing many genres of music, but her first love is music from the Celtic Isles. Her awards include the Scottish Harp Society of America’s National Championship in 2014 and 2015, the 2015 SHSA travel scholarship, as well as the North America Princess Margaret of the Isles Memorial Prize in 2019 and 2022. Teresa has performed in various ensembles at events such as Atlanta Celtic Christmas and IrishFest Atlanta and is a frequent participant in Celtic sessions in the Atlanta area. Teresa received her degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State and currently teaches general music and choir at a PK-8 school in Atlanta, as well as maintaining a busy private harp studio.
